During my time at the Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) at the U.S. Department of Energy the leadership in our office wanted to evolve the OTT brand of the office so it had more of a identity than the "rank and file" style logo lock-ups of the other DOE offices.

In addition to the office's brand, we developed logos for the five commercialization programs that the office was in charge of. They had to be unique and "play well" with our main brand and Dept. of Energy seal.
